Empowerment programmes with practical outcomes.

Four ways we open doors for young people.
Each focus area stands on its own, but they work best together — a scholarship lands better with a mentor, and a workshop means more when it leads somewhere. Hover or tap a card to see what it involves.
01Practical learning that opens doors, delivered where young people already are.
What it involves
- Learning support delivered with schools and community partners
- Career-awareness sessions on aviation, travel and enterprise
- Resources built around real-world, usable skills
02Removing cost as the barrier between talent and training.
What it involves
- Funded places for people who could not otherwise take part
- Clear criteria and deadlines published as each opportunity opens
- Mentoring alongside funding, so support continues after enrolment
03Confidence, skills and a sense of direction for the next generation.
What it involves
- Mentoring from professionals across the group's industries
- Workshops on employability, communication and enterprise
- Youth empowerment initiatives run with ASL Aviation School
04Sustainable change, designed with communities rather than for them.
What it involves
- Initiatives co-designed with community organisations and local leaders
- Projects planned to continue beyond their first phase
- Partnerships with businesses that want lasting, visible outcomes
Five principles behind every programme we run.
Programmes start with the people they serve.
Before we design anything, we spend time with young people, families, schools and community leaders to understand what is getting in the way — and what would genuinely help.
In practice
- Conversations with communities before a programme is planned
- Young people asked what they want to learn
- Plans adapted to local context, not copied from elsewhere
One ecosystem, one connected journey.
The Foundation does not work alone. Because it sits within Alpha Step Links Group, support can lead into training with the Aviation School and onward with ASL Travels. Select a stage to follow the path.

Stage 01 · Led by ASL Foundation
It begins by removing the barrier.
A scholarship, a mentor or a place on a youth programme — whatever makes the next step possible. The Foundation listens first, then puts the right support in place.
- Scholarships
- Mentoring
- Youth programmes

Stage 02 · Led by ASL Aviation School
Then comes industry-ready training.
Participants can build practical skills through the Aviation School's IATA-aligned programmes in aviation, travel and hospitality, taught in person in Lagos or live online.
- Ticketing & reservations
- Customer service
- Hospitality & tourism

Stage 03 · Led by ASL Travels & the wider group
And a route towards what comes next.
With skills in place, the wider group helps people move forward — international pathways through the Aviation School, study-abroad and travel support from ASL Travels, and an ecosystem of more than 100 business partners. Outcomes depend on each individual; we offer guidance and pathways, never guarantees.
- Internship pathways
- Study-abroad support
- Partner network
Lasting change needs more than one pair of hands.
Whether you can give funding, time, a classroom or a recommendation, there is a practical way to help.

01 / 04
Fund a young person's access to training or education.
Sponsorship removes the single biggest barrier for many talented young people: cost. Your support is paired with mentoring, so it opens a door and helps them walk through it.
What’s involved
- 1Tell us the impact you want to create and any focus — a field of study, a community or a region
- 2We agree together how the scholarship will work, including criteria and how recipients are selected
- 3Recipients are supported by a mentor alongside the funding
- 4You hear how the scholarship is being used and the progress it supports
A good fit for: Businesses, foundations and individuals who want visible, practical impact.

02 / 04
Bring careers insight and opportunity to your students.
Schools and colleges work with the Foundation to show students what is possible — and to connect them with support as opportunities open.
What’s involved
- 1Host career-awareness sessions on aviation, travel and enterprise
- 2Share scholarship opportunities with students as they are announced
- 3Co-design programmes around your students' needs and timetable
- 4Review together what worked and plan the next session
A good fit for: Secondary schools, colleges and training institutions.

03 / 04
Share what you know with people who are just starting out.
Some of the most valuable support is an hour with someone who has done the job. Volunteers bring real-world experience that no textbook can.
What’s involved
- 1Tell us about your experience and how much time you can offer
- 2Mentor a young person or a small group
- 3Lead a practical workshop on a skill you use every day
- 4Offer professional advice to community initiatives
A good fit for: Professionals in aviation, travel, business, finance, education and beyond.

04 / 04
Know someone with potential who needs a door opened?
Teachers, parents and community leaders often spot potential first. A nomination helps us reach young people who might never apply on their own.
What’s involved
- 1Tell us about the young person and the support that could help
- 2We share current opportunities and their criteria as they open
- 3We contact the nominee — and their parent or guardian where appropriate
- 4Suitable candidates are invited to apply or take part
A good fit for: Teachers, community leaders, parents and mentors.
Please make sure the young person — and a parent or guardian if they are under 18 — is happy for you to share their details.

Questions about giving and receiving support.
The Foundation empowers communities through education, scholarships, youth development and sustainable social-impact initiatives, with a focus on practical outcomes for young people and underserved groups.
Help someone take their next step forward.
Sponsor a scholarship, open your school’s doors, give an hour of your expertise or tell us about a young person with potential. We will help you find the most useful way to contribute.

“Our mission is to bridge the gap between Africa and the world by providing seamless travel, trusted commerce, and practical skills for those who dare to move forward.”
